What we collect

If you only look up words, we store the usual technical data that a website needs to work (for example your language choice in a session). We do not require an account for searching.

Account from social login

When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and a profile image if the provider sends one. We use this to identify you as a contributor, to show a short public name on leaderboards (first name and the first letter of the last name), and to know who sent a translation or a game score.

Translations you add

Suggested translations are stored with your user id so moderators can review them. Approved meanings may be shown publicly next to the word, together with the dictionary direction (for example Kyrgyz → English).

Games

If you are signed in, we may save a game result (game, difficulty, score, time). Guests can play, but their results are not written to the leaderboard.

Contact messages

Messages from the contact form are emailed to the administrator. They are not stored in the database. We use the name, email or phone from your account only to reply.

Cookies, analytics and ads

The site may use cookies or similar storage for language, login session and last dictionary direction. We use Google Analytics (gtag) to understand visits. Advertisement blocks may be shown; live Google ads can be turned on or off by the operator.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Login providers (such as Google) process the sign-in according to their own policies. Hosting, email and analytics providers process data only to run the service.

How long we keep data

Account, translation and game records are kept while the project is active, unless you ask us to remove them and we can do so without breaking public dictionary content that was already approved.

Children

The dictionary is a general learning site. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices

You can stop using the site at any time. To ask about your account or deletion, use the Contact page after signing in.

We may update this privacy text. The latest version is the one on this page.
